Habjjan doesn’t want to fit in.
He creates his own lane.
French artist, singer and songwriter based in Rome for over twenty years, Habjjan crafts his music around the voice, merging pop, electronic music, soul, urban rhythms and influences from different cultures. French, English and Italian flow naturally through his work, reflecting the cities, encounters and experiences that have shaped him.
Warm, airy and sometimes fragile, his voice is the thread running through everything he creates. It’s not so much about showing what a voice can do, but more about what it can make you feel — the nuances, the imperfections, the things that remain when everything unnecessary is stripped away.
His songs begin with real experiences — intimate, personal and unfiltered. Rather than analysing them, Habjjan dives directly into the emotion, letting feeling become music before it becomes explanation. Desire, loss, identity, love, freedom and human connection run through his writing.
His life and his aesthetic follow the same path. Habjjan approaches music through sound and image, building an artistic direction shaped by elegance, sensuality, contrast and the rawness of contemporary life. Photography, film and performance are not simply there to illustrate the music. They are the natural extension of the same language.
With Poppsyche, Habjjan brings these different threads together into a language of his own. That journey now leads to Un peu d’amour, his forthcoming project — a collection of songs where languages, textures and atmospheres coexist around one idea: the search for beauty, connection and emotion in a world that does not always make room for them.
A search for truth.
And through all the noise, we still make space for love.
Un peu d’amour.
